Hi fellow Aventura II builders my name is Ian from Australia, Im so glad that Alex and crew have revamped their website and introduced forums. There is only 2 Aventures over here in Australia, mine being the second one, so getting actual infomation from other builders is going to be great, I have made contact with an American builder and he has been a life line to me thanks mate.
Shrinkage in regards to using an iron or using a heat gun on the sails once fitted is one method better than the other ?and does a certain heat temp make any difference ? how much can the sail shrinkage to without causing any weakness to the sail? I notice that some of my sails when fitted are tight already and some are not so, some people say that by applying heat to sails will damage sail and not to apply any sort of heat at all, using boat sails and trike sails as an example. The book says to shrink so Im just trying to find out the most successful method.
ps has anyone out there fitted their Aventura II that has a 912 Rotax with an engine Cowling?
